Sonography
Medical ultrasound includes diagnostic imaging techniques, as well as therapeutic applications of ultrasound. In diagnosis, it is used to create an image of internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, blood vessels, and internal organs.
Sonography is an analytical medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves, also known as ultrasound waves, to produce images of the internal body structure. Ultrasound is harmless, noninvasive, and does not use ionizing radiation. Generally, sonography test is also known as an ultrasound or as a sonogram.
